About The Author

Mark Cavanagh, author of The Monocle Trilogy, The Zen of Laundry, and RV Time Machine, lives with his wife by the Ponaganset Reservoir in Chepachet, Rhode Island, where he fishes, skates, boats and swims. Nothing pleases him more than watching the grandkids catch fish off the dock or camp out in the yard.

He co-wrote and produced Zombie Dearest, a feature film, and directed the award-winning Youth Vision Series, recipient of the Action for Children’s Television Award.

Mark has a vein of cosmic horror in him, inspired by H.P. Lovecraft and vetted by themes in The Monocle Trilogy as well as Zombie Dearest. He lives near the Dark Swamp where Lovecraft searched for the legendary IT. His latest book, Big Blue Society, is narrative non-fiction about a once in a lifetime brotherhood that formed around a disabled Vietnam veteran.

When Mark is not cooking for family gatherings, you can find him plucking a banjo, repairing a broken fence and managing an ill-advised woodland garden that the deer consider the personal smorgasbord.
